StratEDGY is headed by Stephanie Pride and Fran Hoover who between them bring a wealth of experience in strategic and futures thinking, building lasting capacities for change and innovation and helping organizations to engage differently, both internally and externally. StratEDGY works with a network of skilled technicians and facilitators in New Zealand and Australia to tailor services to your needs.

Dr Stephanie Pride

Stephanie is a professional futurist with extensive experience and a deep commitment to innovative practice. She has worked in New Zealand, Australia and the UK in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors as well as academia.

With a career that spans from operations to strategy and a background that includes both arts and sciences, Stephanie has long track record of working across sectors and disciplines. She is experienced at tailoring futures services to the needs of any client and building capacities for strategic thinking.

Stephanie’s futuring in New Zealand prior to setting up StratEDGY included designing and leading the SSC Futures Programme for the New Zealand state sector and driving system change as Chief Advisor for the NZ-OECD Schooling for Tomorrow project.

Stephanie is currently part of an international UNESCO research project on scoping global and local anticipatory capacities. She has served on the board of the international Shaping Tomorrow Foresight Network and the New Zealand Futures Trust. She is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists, the World Future Studies Federation and the World Future Society.

Fran Hoover

Fran Hoover.

As a senior manager and executive Fran has demonstrated success in leading strategic visioning and planning, building fit-for-the-future business models, ensuring ongoing business and process improvement, and delivering transformational change. Fran offers a diversity of expertise from over 20 years experience in the public and not-for-profit sectors.

Recent roles Fran has held include Chief Executive of Relationships Aotearoa, Programme Director for Housing New Zealand’s transformational change programme for the Operations Group, and prior to that Housing NZ’s Director of Operations Central. From a background in the Education sector, Fran also offers a wealth of skills in teaching and learning, and is a dynamic and engaging facilitator.
